Fictional information from Alex Demo.

Their diary. Their decision.

They choose what they wish to share.

MED Diary Follow is not a copy of someone’s private diary. The person using MED Diary creates a specific sharing boundary for each caregiver or family member.

Selected vitals
Recent values, range context, and trends for only the vital types they include.
Medication information
Current regimen, scheduled doses, dose activity, and adherence when selected.
Individual lab results
Only the results they explicitly add to the share—not lab-report files or the rest of their records.

The shared view grows with the screen while the same boundary remains in place.

One intentional connection

From invitation to shared view.

The diary owner starts the connection. The caregiver or family member completes it on their own device.

MED Diary Follow is a separate, read-only app for caregivers and family members. It brings the health information someone chooses to share into one clear view.

The person using MED Diary stays in control. They decide what they wish to share: selected vitals, current medications and adherence, and individual lab results. Everything else in their diary stays private.

To begin, the diary owner sends a full Shared Access invite. The caregiver signs in with Apple using the invited email, then pastes the invite or enters its code and key. MED Diary Follow verifies the invitation and downloads the shared, sealed records.

The overview keeps recent readings and context together. A caregiver can review blood pressure, glucose, weight, A1C, and other shared values, then move into longer trends when the history matters.

MED Diary Follow also presents the shared medication schedule and adherence history, alongside individual lab results the diary owner selected. The information is there for context and conversation, but the caregiver cannot edit the diary or mark a dose on someone else’s behalf.

Shared records are end-to-end encrypted and read-only. Updates arrive during the apps’ sharing and refresh passes, so MED Diary Follow is not an emergency monitoring service. The diary owner can change the sharing boundary or revoke access. Visit the Shared Access security guide to see how the data travels.

Useful context, not control

Review what was shared. Continue the conversation.

Follow helps a trusted person understand recent values, longer trends, a medication schedule, and selected results without turning them into the diary’s editor.

Shared Access security

The relay carries sealed records. It cannot read their health content.

Shared record contents are encrypted on the diary owner’s device with a key carried in the complete invite. MED Diary Follow keeps that key in the recipient device’s Keychain and decrypts the records for display.

The service still handles the identities, selected category names, record routing information, counts, and activity needed to operate sharing. The detailed security guide explains that boundary, revocation, local caches, and retention without oversimplifying them.
